Biography

Dr. Jihua Huang is the Prof. of Materials Science and Engineering School at USTB, a member of the council in Chinese welding society, a Editorial Board Member of Chinese journal of materials research, Journal of the Chinese society of rare earths, Materials science and technology and Transactions of the China Welding Institution, etc. He holds a B.S, a M.S and Ph.D.  in 1983, 1986 and 1990 from Harbin Institute of Technology, respectively. He was visiting scholar at Tohoku University, Japan, in 1996.9-1997.4.


Research Interests

1. Joining technologies of dissimilar materials, such as Joining of nonmetal/metal and dissimilar metals, MIG/TIG double-sided arc welding-brazing of dissimilar metals, etc.

2. Micro-joining technologies and reliability for microelectronic packaging, such as New soldering technologies and materials for microelectronic surface mount(SMT), Reliability assessment and measurement of the solder joints,  bonding technologies (materials and processes)  for high-temperature power device packaging, etc.

3. Advanced coating  technologies, such as Thermal barrier coatings, Wear-resistant coating, Reactive thermal spraying, etc.
